Dräger welcomes IMRC-2018 participants in Russia!

On behalf of Dräger employees from Russia and around the world, I would like to welcome all team members and judges of the XI International mine rescue competitions IMRC-2018!

Support for international mines rescue competitions and conferences has become a tradition for our company. Within the introduction of the first Closed Circuit Breathing Apparatus in 1904, the story of Dräger collaboration with the professional community of rescuers and miners begins.

Since then, our company has been continuously contributing to the technologies for mine rescue and safety in mining development. Thanks to the constant dialogue with the mine rescue services and organizations around the world, we have the opportunity to produce reliable equipment that meets your needs and to improve our performance and quality of our products.

Russian rescuers’ acquaintance with Dräger also has a long history. In the company's Museum in Lubeck, Germany there are documents showing that Dräger supplied equipment to Russia at the very beginning of the 20th century, and its quality was highly appreciated here. For example, in 1910 our company received the big gold medal of the South Russian exhibition "for meaningful improvement of the rescue device and for the constant works on further improvement of the device that is the best at the moment". Dräger supplied mine rescue equipment to Russian Empire, Soviet Union and does so to modern Russia. Russian Dräger Employees are especially proud that this year the competition is being held in our country.

I am sure that the organizers are willing to repeat and multiply the success of the 8th International Mine Rescue Conference IMRB-2017 which was held in Russia for the first time.

We are happy to contribute to arrangement of the IMRC-2018, both in terms of technical support, and as part of the judging panel.

No doubt, the teams will perform with excellence.

We wish all the participants good luck. And let the strongest win!

Best regards,
Alexander Haritonov,
General Director of Dräger Russia
